CAROL SMITH OF VINELAND, NJ CHOSEN AS THE 2022 BETTER MADE SNACK FOODS MOTHER OF THE YEAR
VINELAND, NJ – Carol Smith of Vineland, NJ is the 2022 Better Made Snack Foods 2022 Mother of the Year. Her daughter, Julie Lowe, of Pennsylvania, submitted the touching entry and photo, which painted a true picture of her loving mom. For being chosen as the 2022 Mother of the Year, Carol will receive a freshly made sampler box filled with delicious Better Made Snack foods. Here is her submission:
“My mom raised and taught her three children to value others. She had a mentally challenged brother in an era when he would have been institutionalized if not for her own mother, who kept him home and took care of him. My grandmother taught that value of life and each individual. My mom, in turn raised us to care for others, regardless of differences or disabilities. As a result, we all learned to care about those who are in need. It taught me to care for those who cannot care for themselves. As I became a mother, I became a foster parent and adoptive mom. My mother treated each child like her own grandchild, giving gifts, babysitting them, and treating them like the rest of her grandchildren. We are now raising children who value others, regardless of their differences. I am so thankful for the legacy of mothers who have valued life and demonstrated sacrificial living and love for others.”
