JUSTIN CUMMINGS OF PARADISE, PA IS THE 2017 BETTER MADE SNACK FOODS FATHER OF THE YEAR CONTEST WINNER
* The winning entry was sent in by his adoring wife, Christina Cummings, for all he does for her and their children
DETROIT, MI & PARADISE, PA – Being there, being the very foundation for the family, working hard but still taking time out for the family even when he’s tired – these are just some of the many reasons why Christina Cummings nominated her husband Justin as Father of the Year, and that’s why Better Made Snack Foods has chosen him as the 2017 Father of the Year contest winner! For being chosen the winner, the Cummings will receive a sampler box of Better Made Snack Foods. Here is Christina’s nomination:
"My husband is not your average dad! He's been a father to my son from day one even though he's not biological. Plus, we now have a daughter and they are both his, wholly. He goes above and beyond for our children and never misses any events or games. He works six days a week, twelve hours a day to make sure they have all they could possibly need and never once complains. His only day off is Sunday, and he chooses to spend that day with us, taking us kids fishing, to the park, or anything else they want to do. If anyone deserves to win it's my husband. And in our eyes he is father of the year, every year.
I was recently diagnosed with Chronic Lymes Disease and Multiple Sclerosis, and my husband didn't bat an eye – he's been my rock, as he has for our children. He teaches them about life values, respect, and dignity, and not by just telling them, but by showing them everyday. When our son needs to talk, it's dad he goes to. When our daughter is ready for bed, it's dad she wants to tuck her in. There are many fathers in this world – tons of amazing dads. But in our house, this dad is irreplaceable. He is the foundation for our family, and that is what makes him father of the year, every year."
“We had an overwhelming number of entries this year and many of them were very good, but Christina’s really touched my heart,” says Cathy Gusmano of Better Made. “Each year we get more entries and it gets harder to choose just one. There are a lot of great dads out there.
