BETTER MADE PARTNERING WITH UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN C.S. MOTT CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOR 2ND YEAR TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE “BLOCK OUT CANCER” CAMPAIGN THIS SEPTEMBER
DETROIT, MI — September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness month and Better Made has once again partnered with Michigan Medicine C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital to raise funds for its Block Out Cancer campaign. Throughout the month, Better Made will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sale of Family Size and Value Size chips, as well as 1.5oz and 2.5oz pork rinds to the Block Out Cancer campaign. There will be Block Out Cancer displays and pork rind display cases set up throughout stores in Michigan that will let patrons know about the campaign.
“Better Made has been an incredible partner in our efforts to raise awareness of childhood cancers and improve treatments and care for patients and families everywhere,” says Rajen Mody, director of pediatric hematology oncology and a researcher at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. “We are truly grateful that Better Made is once again supporting our Block Out Cancer campaign, helping us to advance important research, make promising discoveries, and push for cures.”
“Better Made is always proud to partner with Michigan Medicine C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital for its annual Block Out Cancer campaign,” says Dave Jones, President of Better Made Snack Foods. “Pediatric cancer is a sad and unfortunate truth, but the Better Made family is committed to supporting the Mott staff and the thousands of families they care for and cure each year. Our customers are very loyal to our causes and we certainly appreciate every single one who participates and every store that showcases the Maize and Blue Block Out Cancer displays. Together we will block out pediatric cancer.”
