MORE INFORMATION ON THE PASSING OF SAM CIPRIANO, CEO OF BETTER MADE SNACK FOODS IN DETROIT

DETROIT, MI – Salvatore “Sam” Cipriano, CEO of Better Made Snack Foods, died on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from heart failure at the age of 80. He is survived by three sons Peter, Michael, and John, and seven grandchildren.

Sam was born in Detroit and grew up in Grosse Pointe, the son of Peter and Evelyn Cipriano. He attended Austin High School and the Michigan Business Institute. He worked for Ford Motor Company before starting at Better Made in the 80’s. He served as CEO of Better Made for 10 years.

Sam Cipriano was the second generation to lead Better Made Snack Foods, and made strides in taking the company to new levels of success. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Heart Association.

Cathy Gusmano, Chairman of the Board at Better Made Snack Foods said: “He was loved by everyone at Better Made and those that knew him, and will be missed tremendously.”
