IRON CORGI MAGGIE THATCHER RAISES OVER $80,000 TO HELP OTHERS PAY PET MEDICAL BILLS AND IS THE BETTER MADE SNACK FOODS JULY 2021 PET PHOTO CONTEST WINNER
CHARLOTTE, NC – Gerald Snyder is originally from the Metro Detroit area and remembers well his parents visiting the Better Made Snack Foods store on Gratiot. Gerald, who now lives in Charlotte, NC, is owner to Iron Corgi Maggie Thatcher, a corgi dog with its own Facebook page. Through auctions and other events, Gerald and Maggie have raised over $80,000 to help others in need pay off their pet’s medical bills.
In honor of eight-year-old Maggie, Gerald submitted her photo to Better Made’s Pet Photo Contest page for consideration and was chosen as the July 2021 winner. For winning, Gerald will receive a freshly made sampler box filled with a variety of delicious Better Made Snack Food products. Maggie’s Facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/Iron-Corgi-Maggie-Thatcher-519107171460607/
Pet contest photos of all kinds may be submitted online through the contest page at the Better Made website, www.bettermade.com, e-mailed to info@bettermadesnackfoods.com, or mailed to Better Made Pet Photo Contest, 10148 Gratiot Avenue, Detroit, MI 48213. Remember, Better Made encourages people to send in their most outrageous and/or cutest pet photo they can of their favorite pet, be it a dog, cat, goat, rabbit, bird, orangutan, frilled lizard, etc., and the funnier or cuter the better!
“Maggie is a fun-loving and spry 8-year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi,” says Gerald. “Through her Facebook page, Iron Corgi Maggie Thatcher has dedicated herself to raising money to pay medical bills for others of her breed. Over the past seven years Maggie has raised over $80,000 and has made friends all around the world. Maggie loves Better Made chips especially the Rainbow Dark, and I think she has earned a special treat.”
“We’ve had a lot of interesting pet winners over the years, but this is truly unique,” says Better Made CEO, Cathy Gusmano. “Once in a while a pet photo/story comes along that just melts your heart and this is one of them. We hope Maggie is around for many years to help raise more money for pets in need.”
