Easy

A Detroit classic with a Better Made twist. Sour Cream & Onion goes in the cheese sauce, crushed chips go on top, and the whole thing bakes into something nobody leaves on the table.

Sour Cream & Onion Mac and Cheese

Ingredients

1 lb elbow macaroni
4 tbsp butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups whole milk
3 cups shredded sharp cheddar
1 cup shredded gruyère (or your favorite shredded cheese)
1.5 tsp Better Made Sour Cream & Onion Seasoning Shaker, plus more for finishing
1 tsp Dijon mustard
Salt and black pepper to taste
1 cup Better Made Original Potato Chips, crushed

Instructions

Heat oven to 375°F. Butter a 9x13 baking dish.
Boil the macaroni 1 minute short of package directions. Drain.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook 1 minute.
Slowly whisk in the milk. Cook, stirring, until the sauce thickens enough to coat a spoon.
Pull off heat. Stir in both cheeses, the Sour Cream & Onion Shaker, and the Dijon. Taste, then season with salt and pepper.
Fold the macaroni into the sauce. Pour into the baking dish.
Top with the crushed Better Made chips.
Bake 20 minutes until bubbling and golden. Finish with one more shake of Sour Cream & Onion.
BETTER MADE TIP

Crush the chips by hand right over the dish so the pieces stay uneven. Some chunks should be big enough to bite into.
